  1. SAT Week #6 Quiz
  2. Literature Circle #3: Important Read Aloud
    • Individually, choose a passage that you feel is the most important section so far in your reading.
    • Complete the bottom 1/2 of your handout where you explain why you chose this selection.
    • Once everyone is finished, each person will take turns reading your selected passage out loud while the rest of the group reads with you.
    • Then, each person will share why he/she believes that passage is important.
    • Once everyone has finished sharing, look at the back of your handout. 
    • Read the directions.
    • Assign Multiple Perspectives.
    • Your assigned part is due at our next LC Meeting #4 Tuesday, May 2.

    • Each person will then share the passages with the group.
    • As a group, select the passage you all feel is the best example of imagery in the selection you have read so far.
    • When your group has made a decision, raise your hands for your assignment.
    • Then, use the questions on the handout as a lead for your group discussion.
      • Do not write answers yet.
    • After discussing all of the questions, individually, you will write your answers to the questions on the handout.

    • Witnesses: During FishBowl, you take notes on the conversation and people talking.
      • You do NOT speak.
      • You will post a reflection on each discussion & share your notes.
      • Take detailed notes of WHO said WHAT and HOW they supported their opinion. 
    • Speakers: During Fishbowl, you speak and listen during assigned time.
      • Must have read the article.
      • Must have researched the case study. 
      • Must have additional research to support your opinion and be able to QUOTE it during the discussion.
      • Must have 3 questions to ask the group during discussion.
      • Must have prepared notes to discuss during small discussion.
      • Can use electronic notes.
      • Must submit all resources used to discuss/debate at the end of the discussion.
    • Your Post must be submitted before class tomorrow.
