English II AP-Prep:

  2. Complete PowerLine for Chapter 4 on Classroom.
    • POWER LINE -This is a sentence or couple of sentences that contain figurative language (simile, metaphor, onomatopoeia, hyperbole, alliteration, personification, etc. but not a symbol, not dramatic irony, not foreshadowing, not imagery)

  1. Vocabulary Week #6  Quiz
  2. After the Vocabulary Quiz, if you did not complete Chatper 4, then finish your Sticky Notes & QQVS  Chapter 4 of Night (Sticky notes and QQVS can overlap some)
    • EACH Chapter requirements: a min. 4 sticky notes identifying any elements described on your handout and 1 POWER LINE -This is a sentence or couple of sentences that contain figurative language (simile, metaphor, onomatopoeia, hyperbole, alliteration, personification, etc. but not a symbol, not dramatic irony, not foreshadowing, not imagery)  TOTAL: 5 sticky notes per chapter
  3. Using your Chapter 1-4 Character Comparison Chart  (W7) Homework
    • In small assigned groups, create a chart that depicts the changes in Elie for the assigned subtopic: Faith, Hope, Family, Physical, Your Choice?
  4. Write a paragraph that answers the question: How does Elie change from chapter 1-4? Use textual evidence to support your response- Correctly cited using in-text parenthetical citations.  This paragraph will be in W7.

  6. 42 Maps that Explain WWII

HW:

  2. Read and annotate Chapter 5
